Bio

The Monroe Community College athletics department announced Kelsey Klopfer as the next head women's volleyball coach in May of 2023. Klopfer brings to MCC over 12 years of coaching experience at varying levels from club, NJCAA, and NCAA Division III levels. 

Klopfer most recently served as an assistant coach at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and Ithaca College where she helped coach NCAA All-Americans, conference and league players of the year. At Ithaca, Klopfer served on the coaching staff that finished as the Liberty League regular season champions, NCAA Regional Champions, earning a birth in the NCAA Elite Eight National Tournament, finishing ranked 12th in the country. Prior to RIT and IC, Klopfer served as head coach of NJCAA Region III Onondaga Community College leading them to a 32-2 record and the Region III Runner-Up, where she coached six all-conference players and the NJCAA Region III Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. 

Klopfer earned her Bachelor's degree in Child and Family Studies where she was also a four-year member of the women's volleyball team and team captain. In addition to her coaching duties, Klopfer also works at Monroe Community College as the program manager for healthcare programs.
