Monroe and Jamestown Neck and Neck After Day Two
BUFFALO, NY - Monroe and Jamestown have battled the entire year and it's spilling into the national championship with Jamestown holding a slim one point lead over the Tribunes 115-114 of the non-scholarship division heading into day three.
The 200 Freestyle Relay team swam by Kara Williamson, Emma Preski, Autumn Collins, and McKenna Briggs saved their best for last with one of their best swims of the season finishing fifth overall with a time of 1.44.80.
Preski turned in an impressive performance in the 50 backstroke finishing 14th with a time of 32.08. Briggs held strong in the 200 Freestyle B-Final finishing second and 10th overall.
400 IM Relay team (Williamson, Preski, Collins, and Briggs) rounded out the scoring for the Tribunes with a seventh place finish.
Monroe returns to the pool tomorrow for day three of the NJCAA National Swimming and Diving Championship with the following events scheduled:
