Rochester N.Y. - In a highly anticipated women's soccer match on October 18, 2023, #6 Monroe Community College showcased their dominance by defeating Jamestown Community College (JCC) with a resounding 9-0 victory. MCC's offensive prowess and strong defensive performance left JCC struggling to keep up throughout the game.
First Half:
MCC wasted no time asserting their dominance, with Caitlin Nelson scoring the opening goal at the 11th-minute mark, assisted by Kayla Baca. The team continued to apply pressure, and Nadia Jaworowicz extended the lead to 2-0 in the 17th minute, with Breanna DeHond providing the assist. Caitlin Nelson found the back of the net once again in the 33rd minute, this time assisted by Daniela Airaud. Paige Taylor further increased MCC's lead to 4-0 in the 35th minute, with Kayla Baca adding another assist.
Second Half:
MCC continued their relentless attack in the second half, with Breanna DeHond scoring in the 51st minute, assisted by Lea Kemp.
