Namisniak Shines as Softball Sweeps Panthers in Home Opener
ROCHESTER N.Y. - Nikki Namisniak drove in four runs on three hits to lead Monroe CC Tribunes past Tompkins Cortland CC 15-1 on Saturday. Namisniak hit a home run to left field in the second scoring two, singled in the first scoring one, and doubled in the third scoring one.
The Monroe CC Tribunes got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Tompkins Cortland CC committed an error, Namisniak singled, Tompkins Cortland CC committed an error, Kamryn Bletch singled, and, each scoring one run.
Monroe CC Tribunes scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the second inning. Isabella Giorgione singled, scoring two runs, Namisniak homered to left field, scoring two runs, and Bletch singled, scoring one run.
A double by Namisniak extended the Monroe CC
Tribunes lead to 11-0 in the bottom of the third inning.
Amanda Linnenbrink led things off in the circle for Monroe CC Tribunes. They allowed two hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out eight and walking none.

Monroe CC Tribunes jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Isabella Giorgione singled, scoring two runs, Namisniak tripled, scoring one run, Carly Sobaszek tripled, scoring one run, and Sobaszek scored after tagging up.
Monroe CC Tribunes added one run in the second after Giorgione grounded out.
Monroe CC Tribunes added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Morgan Brozak doubled, and Mia Arena singled, each scoring one run.
