Men Extend Lead After Day Two at National Championship
BUFFALO, NY - The Monroe Community College men's swimming and diving team continued to pull away from the non-scholarship field on day two of the national championship extending their lead to 59 points with a team total of 109 points. Ryan Campbell led the Diving team for the Tribs finishing fourth in the 1 meter event, while Brycen Mirisoloff-Lynch and Jon Smith rounded out the field finishg sixth and seventh respectively.
The men's 200 Free Relay team swam by Campbell, Lynch, Evan Olsheski, and Quintin Blair finished ninth with a time of 1.47.50 securing 14 points.
Monroe's 400 IM relay team (Michael Laviani, Olsheski, Alex Scaglione, and Brendan Briggs) rounded out the evening finishing with an impressive seventh place finish with a time of 3.52.96.
MCC returns to the pool tomorrow for day three of the NJCAA Swimming and Diving National Championships with the following events scheduled:
