Bio

Aaron Bouyea assumed the role of Monroe Community College's fifth Director of Athletics in August 2017.

Under his leadership, the Tribunes have continued their long history of success, securing national championships in women's basketball and women's lacrosse in 2018. Boasting 18 NJCAA Region III championships across various sports, including women's soccer, baseball, and softball, MCC's athletic teams have showcased their prowess on the national stage, making 23 appearances in the national tournament.

Bouyea spearheaded a comprehensive rebranding effort for MCC athletics, forging strategic partnerships with BSN and Under Armour for multi-year apparel and marketing deals. Notable facility enhancements include the installation of cutting-edge turf and LED lighting at Dimarco Field and in the Indoor PAC Turf, upgrades to Monagan Court, and creating a state-of-the-art eSports facility. Currently, plans are underway for a $1.5 million softball field project, demonstrating MCC's commitment to athletic excellence.

In addition to his role at MCC, Bouyea is deeply involved in regional and national athletics committees, playing pivotal roles in developing initiatives such as the NJCAA student-athlete council. His dedication extends to serving as Men's Assistant Regional Director and Business Manager for NJCAA Region III, as well as serving a third vice president for NATYCAA - the leading professional development organization for two-year college athletics.

Originally hailing from Lewiston, Maine, Bouyea brings a wealth of experience to MCC, which he cultivated during his tenure at Lesley University and Wells College. At Lesley, he played a pivotal role in overseeing numerous conference championships and NCAA tournament appearances, while at Wells College, he contributed to significant program expansions and championship victories.

Bouyea's academic journey includes a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Thomas College and a Master of Science in Sport Management from the State University of New York at Cortland. As a former collegiate baseball player, his passion for sports management is deeply rooted in both academic excellence and personal experience.
