Nine Goals Lead Tribunes to Season Opening Victory

ROCHESTER, NY - Niyah Jayde Rosado and Caitlin Nelson each scored two goals en route to a 9-0 shutout victory over Schoolcraft College in NJCAA women's soccer action Saturday afternoon at John L. Dimarco Field. Kayla Baca added two assists for Monroe.

The No. 5 ranked team in Division I dominated from start to finish with the Tribunes not allowing a single shot on net in the full 90-minutes. MCC jumped out to a 5-0 lead at the half and never looked back. Anna Deutscher, Brianna Romaniak, Paige Taylor, Laia Ferran, and Daniela Airaud all added goals for the Tribunes.

Monroe returns to action against defending national champion and current No. 1 nationally ranked Iowa Western Community College on September 2nd in Overland Park, KS at 2:00 PM.
