Tribunes rally to defeat Naz
The victory is the ninth straight for the Tribunes.
ROCHESTER – Trailing 1-0 early in the contest, MCC scored five unanswered goals to defeat the Nazareth JVs 5-1 in women's soccer Saturday afternoon.
The win was the ninth in a row for the 12th-ranked Tribunes, who are 9-1 on the season.
Natalie Rogers (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) got Monroe on the board in the 27th minute with an unassisted score to tie the game at one. Ally Sharpe (Brockport, NY/Brockport) then scored directly off a corner two minutes later for the eventual winner.
Ali Campbell (Marion, NY/Marion), Sharpe, and Kaylen O'Brien (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) added goals in the second half to provide the final margin.
Sharpe, Maggie Doyle (Dublin, Ireland/Loreto College Crumlin), and Julia Pettys (Alexander, NY/Alexander) all added assists.
Chloe Crook (London, England/Holy Family) stopped six Nazareth shots in goal for MCC.
