Tribunes beat UR JVs in regional tune-up
MCC to host regional title game Oct. 27.
ROCHESTER – Natalie Rogers (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) scored three goals and added an assist and the MCC women's soccer team tuned up for the regional championship with a 6-1 win over the University of Rochester JVs Tuesday.
The Tribunes (14-1) will take on Mercyhurst NE at 11 a.m. Saturday at home for the regional title. MCC defeated the Saints 11-0 on Sept. 26.
Rogers scored the game's first two goals and added her third in the final minutes to cap the hat trick. She also assisted on one of Ally Sharpe's (Brockport, NY/Brockport) two goals.
Kaylen O'Brien (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) also scored, and Jori Semrau (Greece, NY/Greece Arcadia) and Jessica DiCesare (Chili, NY/Aquinas) added two assists apiece.
Paige Buchholz (Greece, NY/Greece Odyssey) made eight saves in goal.
