Huge second half carries Monroe past Onondaga
MCC pulls away for win over Region 3 rival.

SYRACUSE - The top-ranked MCC women's lacrosse team used a 7-0 run in the second half to pull away for a 15-6 win over No. 3 Onondaga Community College Saturday afternoon.
The Tribunes moved to 3-0 with the win. Monroe hosts Frederick CC Sunday at noon on John L. DiMarco Field.
Monroe led 4-2 at the half and just 7-4 with 22 minutes remaining after a pair of Lazer free position goals. That's when the Tribunes embarked on their game-changing run.
Christie Hahn got it started with 19:54 left before Charity Warner tallied two straight to make it 10-4. Morgan Hollenbeck then book-ended a pair of goals around scores from Janee DeLuca and Kyli-Marie Towner as MCC stretched the lead to 10 to take command.
Hollenbeck finished with four goals and Hahn totaled three goals and two assists. Warner and DeLuca added three goals apiece, while Towner and Taylor Excell each had one.
Sarah Annable allowed just five goals and made eight saves for the Tribunes. Dana Isaacs had a team-high six draw controls, with Hollenbeck chipping in five. Warner Julia Ciavaglia, and Kendall Skuse led the way with three ground balls apiece.
