MCC women cruise past Herkimer

ROCHESTER - Monroe Community College scored the first 14 goals en route to a 20-1 victory over Herkimer College in an NJCAA Region III women's lacrosse game Wednesday evening.
Dana Isaacs set career highs with five goals and 10 ground balls as the top-ranked Tribunes moved to 11-0 on the season. MCC has won its last 61 games.
Isaccs opened the scoring less than a minute into the game and Dana Kiselica found the back of the net 33 seconds later as the Tribunes jumped out in front.
Megan Klein then scored two in a row, and Morgan Hollenbeck and Gianna Branca also found the mark as MCC went up 6-0. Isaacs added three more and Kiselica another to put Monroe up by 10, less than 10 minutes into the half.
Branca finished the game with four goals and an assist, while Kiselica and Klein each registered a hat trick. Hollenbeck tallied two goals and two assists on the night.
Nicole Beatson and Kendall Skuse each added a goal and an assist and Julia Ciavaglia scored once.
Sarah Brown made three saves in goal for the Tribunes, who outshot the Generals 36-6 and held a 35-15 advantage on ground balls. Monroe also controlled 19 out of 23 draws.
