WATERTOWN, New York - The top-ranked MCC women's lacrosse team improved to 9-0 on the season with a 24-6 victory over Jefferson Community College Wednesday evening.
The Tribunes raced to a 14-4 lead at the half and never looked back. The win was the 59th in a row for Monroe, and the 150th in the career of head coach Craig Chamberlain.
In his 10th season, Chamberlain has an overall mark of 150-16.
Christie Hahn tallied four goals and three assists and Gianna Branca also scored four times to pace theTribune attack. Megan Klein added three goals and an assist, and Taylor Excell and Nicole Beatson each registered a hat trick as well.
Sarah Brown stopped nine shots in goal.
Devon McKercher and Elle MacMillan each scored twice, and Dana Kiselica added a goal and two assists. Charity Warner had a goal and a helper and Morgan Hollenbeck scored once.
Hollenbeck also added a team-high five ground balls and Melissa Moran controlled seven draws.
