SANBORN, NY - Monroe Community College clinched a thrilling 91-80 victory over Jamestown Community College in a hard-fought contest to head to the Conference Championship.
The Tribunes jumped out to a strong start, leading 21-16 after the first quarter and extending their advantage to 46-22 by halftime.
Despite facing a 24-point deficit, Jamestown made a remarkable resurgence in the second half, outscoring Monroe 33-10 in the fourth quarter and forcing overtime with a strong finish.
Skylah Kemp was the standout performer for Monroe, scoring 35 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. She displayed her versatility, sinking 19 of 25 free throws and adding three assists.
Her offensive output was complemented by Serenity Henderson, who added 19 points, while Zarriah Eldridge chipped in with 17 points despite struggling with her shooting.
