Lady Tribunes Fall at Cayuga 55-41

AUBURN N.Y. -  Monroe Community College's women's basketball team was defeated by Cayuga Community College with a final score of 55-41.

In the first quarter, Monroe Community College took an early lead with a score of 14-11. However, Cayuga Community College quickly turned the tide in the second quarter, outscoring their opponents 16-10. The third and fourth quarters saw Cayuga Community College maintain their lead, with scores of 14-10 and 14-7, respectively.

Rebounding was a key factor in Cayuga Community College's victory, as they outrebounded Monroe Community College 43-32. They also had more assists, with 14 compared to Monroe Community College's 10.

Individual performances were notable for both teams. Cierra Grant was the leading scorer for Monroe Community College, contributing 13 points. Shariona Blocker had a strong all-around performance, scoring 11 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. For Cayuga Community College, Maddy Weed was the top scorer with 17 points, while Lamontiona Johnson contributed 12 points.
