Tribunes Edged Out by Montgomery Raptors in Tough 2-1 Defeat
The #20 Monroe CC men's soccer team took an early lead but ultimately fell 2-1 to #17 Montgomery College, capping off a challenging home stretch with a hard-fought loss.

ROCHESTER, NY - The #20 Monroe Community College men's soccer team fell to the #17 Raptors of Montgomery College in another hard-fought home loss.
The Tribunes took an early 1-0 lead when Hamish Campbell (Edinburgh, Scotland) headed in a cross from Luca Dodge (Hilton, NY) in the 32nd minute. From there, the tension ratcheted up. The Raptors responded to the Tribunes with a goal of their own by Ismael Deme in the 40th minute, tying the game at the half.
After much back and forth, Montgomery's Nhlamulo Baloyi found a second goal in the 56th minute, taking the lead. Despite their best efforts, the Tribunes were unable to equalize, and the game ended 2-1.
With this loss, the Tribunes end the regular season with a home record of 5-4. They will look to end their regular season with a win against Harford Community College.
