#17 Tribunes Beat Bobcats 3-1

BUFFALO, NY - The #17 nationally ranked Monroe Community College men's soccer team defeated the Bobcats of Bryant & Stratton College Buffalo 3-1. The game was not as close as the score would suggest. The Tribunes opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a goal by Gabriele "Pepé" Sellati (Montebelluna, Italy) off an assist by Ollie Weir (Falkirk, Scotland). A few minutes later, Manato Ogawa (Saitama, Japan) found Ivan Vatamaniuk (Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine) for his first goal of the season and the Tribs' second of the game. 

Scoring in the second half was started by the Bobcats, scoring their first in the 75th minute, cutting the Tribune lead in half, 2-1. The game was put away when Sakuya Futakuchi (Tokyo, Japan) scored MCC's third goal from an assist by Justin Krampl (Dubai, United Arab Emirates) bringing the final score to 3-1.

Monroe leads the game in shots (12) and corner kicks (4), holding a decisive offensive advantage. Only one card was shown, a yellow to Hamish Campbell (Edinburgh, Scotland), in an otherwise clean game. 

The Tribunes took care of business on the road and will look to continue their success at home when they take on the #18 Bears of Harcum College
