ROCHESTER, NY - No doubt still feeling the sting of their loss to Laramie County Community College, ending their home win streak, the Men's Monroe Community College Soccer Program left nothing to chance as they beat down their conference rivals, SUNY Niagara Thunderwolves, in an 11-1 victory. In what turned out to be a clinic of a match, scoring from the Tribunes came early and often. Starting with a goal from Jacob Sevene (Greece, NY) assisted by Jack Chalmers (Carnoustie, Scotland), the Tribunes had control from the first whistle to the last as nine players scored, all but two of which were assisted.
The international stars were out as players like Ollie Weir (Falkirk, Scotland) and Sora Kozaki (Saitama, Japan) scored twice, and Anton Kelly (Motherwell, Scotland) and Hamish Campbell (Edinburgh, Scotland) both recorded multiple assists. Every player on coach Craig Dewer's roster played in the game to varying degrees in a game that was forfeited in the 83rd minute.
The Tribs will look to continue this dominance on Sept. 7th as they travel to Scranton to take on the Falcons of Lackawanna College.
NEXT UP: vs Lackawanna College | 9/7/24 (TBD) - Scranton Prep Loyola Field (Scranton, PA)
