Kozaki Totals Two Goals, #20 Men's Soccer Rolls at Lakeland CC 2-0

MENTOR, OH - The #20 Nationally Ranked Monroe CC Men's Soccer Program picked up their second consecutive win to open the Fall 2024 Season, defeating the Lakers of Lakeland CC on the road in Lakeland, Ohio 2-0. 

Monroe CC controlled the pace of play dominating in time of possesion and in shots, with 30 total shots (18 shots on goal). 

Freshman forward Sora Kozaki (Saitama, Japan) netted the only two goals of the game (3 total on the season). Kozaki scored his first goal of the game early in the 1st half at 3:48 on a well placed cross from fellow Japan Native Haato Efune (Tokyo,Japan)

Kozaki would strike again late in the first half, this goal at 43:04 assisted by Jacob Sevene (Rochester, NY) for his second goal on the contest. 

Goalkeeper Matthew Rossi extended his shutout streeak to two consecutive games in a three save effort against the Lakers

For the Tribunes they also increased their season point differential to +4, outscoring opponents 4-0 to open the season.
