Rochester, NY - The Monroe Community College men's soccer team ran into a tough Cayuga Spartan team falling 2-0 on Friday afternoon at John L. Dimarco Field. With the loss the Tribunes fall to 0-1-1 on the season, while Cayuga improves to 1-0.
Will Leary scored in the 34th minute on a pass from Isaac Bourne to give Cayuga a 1-0 lead heading into the half. Abdias Peres put the Spartans up 2-0 early in the second half as the Spartans would hang on for their first victory of the year.
Rocco Carbone, Meneli Lostoridis, and Jadon Marquis all tallied shots on net for the Tribs.
The Tribunes return to action on Friday, April 16th when they travel to Mohawk Valley Community College for a 2pm start.
