Tribs Fall to #5 Ranked Cougars

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – On April 10, 2024, the Monroe Community Tribunes squared off against the Number 5 Ranked Genesee Community College Cougars. The Tribunes fell 33-3 against the Cougars. 

The scoring started early in the first quarter with GCC scoring four unanswered goals within the first 5 minutes of action. Cole Beardsley scored one for the Tribs in the first quarter. GCC managed to score eight more goals before the end of the first to put the lead to 11-1. The Cougars extended their lead to 21-2 at the end of the second. Steven Laframboise scored one for the Tribunes. Evan Belter scored a hat trick in the first half of the game.  

After halftime, GCC scored seven more unanswered goals in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, GCC outscored MCC 5-1 with Cody Mayer scoring one for the Tribunes. Garret Walker, Evan Belter, Luke Smeader, Brian Freeman, and Landen Johnson all had hat tricks for GCC in the offense onslaught. 

The MCC Tribunes look to defend their home turf against Delaware Tech, on April 13 at noon.
