#14 Tribunes Overcome 12-Point Halftime Deficit, Start 1-0 in WNYAC Play

ORCHARD PARK N.Y. - The #14 Nationally RankedMonroe Community College (MCC) Men's Basketball Team, emerged victorious in a close game against Erie Community College (ECC) with a final score of 71-66. MCC, with a record of 18-3 and 1-0 in conference play, managed to overcome a 12-point halftime deficit to secure the win.

In the first half, ECC dominated the game, outscoring MCC 43-31. Michael Duviella and A'Mag Tate were the leading scorers for ECC, with 21 and 20 points respectively. Duviella showcased his shooting skills, making 10 of his 22 field goal attempts. However, MCC's defense tightened up in the second half, limiting ECC to only 23 points.MCC's Terrell Williams played a crucial role in the team's comeback victory. He contributed 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in 29 minutes of play. Jaden Fleming also made significant contributions with 8 points and 5 rebounds. Mohamed Soumahoro was the leading scorer for MCC, finishing the game with 16 points and 11 rebounds. With the victory the Tribunes extend their winning streak to four games and solidifies their position as a top team in their conference.
