Colvin-Seldon's career night leads MCC past Mercyhurst

NORTH EAST, Pennsylvania - Malik Colvin-Seldon scored a career-high 35 points as the MCC men's basketball team held on for a 95-90 victory over Mercyhurst North East Wednesday evening.
Colvin-Seldon finished 14-for-19 from the field and also hauled down 11 rebounds to pace the Tribunes. MCC led by as many as 18 before the Saints rallied and pulled even at 90 with less than a minute left.
Devonte Dixon then iced the game at the line for Monroe in the final seconds to clinch the win. MCC evened its Western New York Athletic Conference record at 3-3 and is now 12-9 overall.
Dixon finished with 21 points, and Destin Blunt returned from injury to compile 18 points and 10 rebounds. Kewan Platt chipped in with 11 points.
MCC shot 58 percent from the florr (34-for-58), including 42 percent (8-for-21) from beyond the arc.
MCC hosts conference-leading Niagara County CC this Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
