Tribunes rebound to top Frederick
MCC salvages the weekend with a 74-65 victory.
FREDERICK, MD - Coming off a tough loss to Howard the night before, in a game in which the team committed 30 turnovers, MCC tightened things up Saturday afternoon.
The result was a 74-65 victory over Frederick to salvage a split of the weekend roadtrip through Maryland. The Tribunes improved their record to 5-3.
Monroe suffered through a tough shooting day again, but the shots fell when they counted. Much of this was due to the hot hand of Isaiah Davis, who scored a game-high 20 on 8-of-10 shooting. The sophomore guard connected on 4-of-5 from behind the arc and added four rebounds, four steals, and a pair of blocks.
Anthony Hemingway was the only other Tribune in double figures, scoring 15 points to go along with five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Damon Miraud added nine points, Marcus Gooding had eight, and Davon Jackson and Emmanuel Joseph seven apiece.
MCC drastically cut down on mistakes, committing just 13 turnovers while forcing 18 from Frederick.
