Delhi outlasts Monroe

The Broncos win 68-66 to end MCC's eight-game winning streak.

DELHI, NY - The MCC men's basketball team saw its eight-game winning streak come to an end with a 68-66 road loss to SUNY Delhi Saturday afternoon.

The defeat drops the Tribunes to 14-2 on the season.  MCC had not lost since Nov. 24 at Hagerstown.

Tashawn Desir (Brooklyn, NY/Nia Prep) led the way with 15 points for MCC, converting 12-of-14 free throws.  Monroe actually held a 40-17 advantage in free throw attempts.

Dallas Gary (Buffalo, NY) chipped in with 14 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

The Tribunes return to WNYAC play with a road game at Genesee on Tuesday.  MCC hosts Mercyhurst North east at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17.
