Rochester, NY.- The MCC baseball team swept Jamestown CC this afternoon in their second home game of the season. Game 1 finished at 10-0 in five innings and game two resulted in a 12-2 win also in five innings. Ethan Putney shut out game one with seven stikeouts, two walks and only two hits while Hayden Wesseling took on game two with six strikeouts, six hits and allowing the only two runs. With the victories, Monroe advances to 6-5 on the season.
Game 1
Ben Beauchamp went 2-2 with two triples, two RBI, two stolen bases and scored three runs for the Tribunes.
Justin Herrera doubled and earned himself two RBI.
Game 2
Patrick May, Max Schmarder, Trevor Gienau and Joe Wintermute all hit doubles.
Connor Kiefer, Scharmder (3), Gienau and Wintermute (2) all earned themselves RBI's.
May (2), Kiefer (2), Beauchamp and Ryan Stewart all successfully earned a stolen base.
Monroe hosts Niagara County CC this Thursday the 24th at 1 pm for their next matchup.
