Tribune women swim well at home invite

ROCHESTER - The MCC women's swimming and diving team fared well at the team's own Monroe Invitational on Saturday.

Alicia Shenal was a triple winner and was also part of two winning relays for the Tribunes. The sophomore placed first in the 50 free (25.87), 50 fly (28.46), and the 100 back (1:03.47).

Shenal teamed with Jasmine VanScooter, Ashley VanDermeer, and Emily DeClerck to win the 200 medley relay in 2:06.73. Shenal, VanDermeer, DeClerck, and Andrea Toussaint placed first in the 800 free relay in 9:17.78.

Toussaint won the 200 free in 2:24.13, and DeClerck did the same in the 50 breast (38.54). VanDermeer captured the 100 breast in 1:23.39, and VanScooter took first in the 100 free (1:08.00).
