Tribune women fall to Brockport
Shenal wins pair of events.
ROCHESTER - Alicia Shenal won two events, but it wasn't enough as the MCC women's swimming and diving team fell to Brockport State by a score of 149.5-66.5.
Shenal continued her strong start to the season by placing first in the 50 free (25.67) and 200 back (2:16.53). But a deep and balanced Golden Eagle squad was too much to overtake.
Ashley VanDermeer contributed a pair of runner-up finishes for Monroe. The sophomore placed second in the 200 IM (2:25.01) as well as the 500 free (5:39.65). Emily DeClerck was second in the 100 free (1:05.23), and Hannah Cuyler was the same in the 1000 free (13:06.29).
