Rockville, MD.- The Monroe Community College women's soccer team traveled to Montgomery College this past weekend to face Harford Community College in the East District Championship match. Three different Tribunes were able to score goals for Monroe giving the Tribunes an early lead in the first half. Anna Deutscher (2), Sierra Edwards (2) and Caitlin Nelson all scored for MCC which led to a 5-2 victory for Monroe. With the win over Harford, the Tribunes earn the East District Title and enter the NJCAA DI National Tournament at 12-1-2 on the season.
MCC will take off for the National Tournament in Evans, GA on Friday, November 11th. The DI women's soccer bracket will be released at 1 pm on November 8th. MCC Athletics is hosting a Watch Party at the Brighton Campus - Atrium from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm. Join us as we celebrate and send off our Lady Tribunes.
