ROCHESTER - The MCC women's lacrosse team wrapped up the regular season with a 24-5 victory over Erie Community College on DiMarco Field Saturday afternoon.
The Tribunes will carry an 8-0 record and a 91-game winning streak overall into the postseason. Monroe will be the top seed in next weekend's Region III tournament at Onondaga Community College.
Monroe put Saturday's contest away early. The Tribunes had an 8-0 lead less than five minutes into the first half and carried a 16-0 advantage into the break. MCC forced 21 turnovers over the first 30 minutes while allowing the Kats just one clear on 14 attempts.
Janee DeLuca scored all four of her goals in the first half and also dished out an assist. Kenzie Donahue added three goals and one assist on the day, while Ashley Salvett had two goals and two helpers.
Brittany Chamberlain, Adriana Williams, and Emma Moulton all scored two goals apiece for the Tribunes. Maliah Benedetto contributed a goal, three assists, and seven draw controls.
