ROCHESTER - The top-ranked MCC women's lacrosse team stayed unbeaten with a 22-2 victory over visiting Erie CC Wednesday.
The Tribunes (13-0) also wrapped up the Western New York Athletic Conference title with the win.
Melanie Murphy (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) totaled eight points on three goals and five assists. Keirsten MacLellan (Baltimore, MD/Seton Keough) also had a big night with six goals and one assist.
Alyssa Kennedy (Rochester, NY/Gates Chili) and Courtney Reuter (Newark, NY/Newark) added two goals and one assist apiece, and Jessica Riggall (Tully, NY/Tully) and Caitlin Cavallaro (Corning, NY/Corning East) had two goals each.
MCC had 20 draw controls compared to five for the Kats.
Tori Williamson (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) and Molly Gray (Gorham, NY/Marcus Whitman) both had one goal and one assist, and Gabby Farina (Penfield, NY/Penfield), Alexandra Sportini (Monroe, CT/Masuk), and Brianna Everson (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) also scored.
