Namisniak Shines as Softball Sweeps Panthers in Home Opener

ROCHESTER N.Y. - Nikki Namisniak drove in four runs on three hits to lead Monroe CC Tribunes past Tompkins Cortland CC 15-1 on Saturday. Namisniak hit a home run to left field in the second scoring two, singled in the first scoring one, and doubled in the third scoring one.

The Monroe CC Tribunes got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Tompkins Cortland CC committed an error, Namisniak singled, Tompkins Cortland CC committed an error, Kamryn Bletch singled, and, each scoring one run.

Monroe CC Tribunes scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the second inning. Isabella Giorgione singled, scoring two runs, Namisniak homered to left field, scoring two runs, and Bletch singled, scoring one run.

A double by Namisniak extended the Monroe CC

Tribunes lead to 11-0 in the bottom of the third inning.

Amanda Linnenbrink led things off in the circle for Monroe CC Tribunes. They allowed two hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out eight and walking none.

Monroe CC Tribunes tallied 12 hits in the game.

Bletch and Mia Arena each collected multiple hits for Monroe CC Tribunes. Ashley Simons led Monroe CC Tribunes with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Simons stole three bases. Monroe CC Tribunes ran wild on the base paths, collecting three stolen bases for the game.

G Foley went 1-for-2 at the plate as the 3-hole hitter led the team with one run batted in. A Medouih and Foley each collected one hit for Tompkins Cortland CC.

Nikki Namisniak collected four hits in five at bats, as Monroe CC Tribunes defeated Tompkins Cortland CC 16-8 on Saturday. Namisniak tripled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, singled in the sixth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.

Monroe CC Tribunes jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Isabella Giorgione singled, scoring two runs, Namisniak tripled, scoring one run, Carly Sobaszek tripled, scoring one run, and Sobaszek scored after tagging up.

Monroe CC Tribunes added one run in the second after Giorgione grounded out.

Monroe CC Tribunes added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Morgan Brozak doubled, and Mia Arena singled, each scoring one run.

Monroe CC Tribunes scored five runs on six hits in the top of the seventh inning. Giorgione singled, scoring one run, Sobaszek hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Amanda Linnenbrink singled, scoring one run, Kamryn Bletch doubled, scoring one run, and Brooklyn Downey singled, scoring one run.

Namisniak stepped in the circle first for Monroe CC

Tribunes. The righty allowed five hits and six runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out one and walking three. Linnenbrink appeared in relief for Monroe CC Tribunes.
