Rochester, NY.- The MCC softball team earned a split vs Erie Community College in yesterday's double header matchup. The Tribunes lost the first game 17-2 before rallying back with an offensive explosion for a 20-8 victory over the Kats. With the split, Monroe moves to 12-10 on the season.
Game 1
Freshman, Amber Gerringer tripled and homered for Monroe and finished with 6 RBI's.
Jill Jenault and Clare Camblin each tripled and Amelia Schuster finished with a double for the Tribunes.
Game 2
Freshman and pitcher, Courtney Morse earned the win with four strikeouts and allowing only one walk. Morse also finished offensively with a double and 3 RBI's.
Gerringer had another homerun for Monroe while Schuster added a triple and 4 RBI's.
The next game for the Tribunes is Saturday, May 1st at 1/3 pm when they host Jefferson Community College at home.
