Tribunes Finish Regular Season in Oswego
OSWEGO, NY - The Tribunes swimming and diving teams competed in their last dual meet of the regular season at SUNY Oswego against the Lakers on Saturday night. The men's team lost 135-89, while the women's team lost 112-31.
Here are a few of the highlights from the men's side of the pool.
Henrique Silva-Baltazar had himself a day by picking up wins in three separate events. He won the 1000 yard free with a time of 10:32.44. He won the 400 yard IM with a time of 4:35.44. He also won the 100 yard fly with a time of 56.41.
Michael Rose finished second place in the 50 yard free with a time of 23.17 and third place in the 100 yard free with a time of 51.74. Michael also helped the 200 yard free relay squad of himself, Ryan Campbell, Logan Chaffee, and Max Curtis, to a third place finish with a time of 1:37.68.
Ryan Campbell won the 1 meter diving with a final score of 271.60. He also won the 3 meter diving with a final score of 260.50.
On the women's side of the pool, here are a few of the highlights.
Peyton Dodge grabbed herself a pair of second place finishes on the night. She finished second in the 50 yard free with a time of 32.15. She also finished second in the 100 yard free with a time of 1:11.86.
Camryn Smith finished second in the 100 yard breast with a time of 1:34.12.
Jillian Sauer finished second in the 1 meter diving with a final score of 179.65. She also grabbed third place in the 100 yard free with a time of 1:17.40.
The 200 yard free relay squad of Jillian Sauer, Peyton Dodge, Min Ban, and Camryn Smith finished second with a time of 2:30.16.
The MCC Tribunes now turn their focus and attention to the Region 3 Swim & Dive Championships which will be February 16-18 at Monroe Community College.
