ROCHESTER - The MCC men's lacrosse team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a 17-1 victory over visiting Niagara County CC on DiMarco Field Saturday.
The win was the third straight for the Tribunes, who improved to 6-3 overall.
Brian Moran scored three of his four goals as Monroe opened a 9-1 lead after the first 15 minutes. The Tribunes then held the ThunderWolves off the scoreboard the rest of the way and coasted to the win.
Chris Giruzzi finished with two goals and two assists, and Sean Biggie and Jon Taliento also scored twice. Jake Montgomery and Mike Larkin all added a goal and an assist.
Alex Gulisano was strong in the cage for the Tribunes, stopping 13 shots while allowing just the one goal.
Ethan Printy, Kyle Youngmann, Lindsey Pound, Zach Moore, and Travis Young all scored a goal apiece.
