Rochester, NY.- Monroe Community College men's lacrosse program has named Nathan Martina as Head Coach. "Nate and Jason (Associate Head Coach) bring a winning pedigree to MCC. Nate Martina has served as the men's lacrosse assistant coach at Monroe Community College for the 2019 to 2022 seasons, where he assisted with coaching the goalies, defense, and running the box before accepting the position as Head Coach this September 2022.
He attended Clarence High School in Buffalo, NY and played goalie from 2010-2013. He won a Section 6 championship in 2011 and also helped lead the Red Devils to two straight sectional finals in 2012 and 2013. Nate was also All-WNY in 2012 and 2013.
After high school, he played in the Empire State Cup (2013) and Juco Under Armor Games (2016). He then went on to play goalie at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, NY, winning a national championship as a player in 2017 and as a coach in 2018. He also played Jr. B and Sr. B box lacrosse for the Tonawanda Braves.
After playing at Onondaga, Nate traveled to Japan where he coached lacrosse clinics in eight different cities for the month of June in 2018. He coached for Clarence Youth Lacrosse in the summer and assisted with coaching Williamsville North Modified lacrosse. Nate also coached goalies at Cicero North Syracuse High School from 2019-2022.
